Summary of Position
Adjunct Instructor to teach Art Appreciation, Art History I, & Art History II on Central Texas College’s main campus in Killeen, TX and/or the Early College High School campus.
Minimum Required Education
MFA in Visual Art or MA in Art History from a nationally, regionally, or identified at the state level accredited institution of higher education including 18 graduate hours in visual arts required.
Minimum Required Experience
Previous teaching experience preferred
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Candidate should be prepared to:
Provide instruction in accordance with College policies and practices.
Prepare course materials according to accreditation and best practices in collaboration with Fine Arts faculty.
Utilize multiple strategies to facilitate learning while creating effective student assessment. Create an inclusive and respectful learning environment for students.
Produce timely course materials including utilizing the course master syllabus and creating a schedule according to College and Department practices.
Complete required reporting processes such as entering grades, maintain confidentiality procedures and accurate course records.
Respond to student and College communication in a timely manner.
