The role you’ll contribute:

The Accreditation and Regulatory Organizational Performance Officer will support the medical facility by administering and overseeing all activities concerning achieving continuous excellence, adherence to state, regulatory, and accreditation standards, continual survey readiness and facilitate announced and unannounced surveys from all regulatory bodies. Ensures the facility maintains a state of continuous compliance with the rules and regulations of regulatory agencies and that facility policies and procedures are consistently followed.

The Accreditation & Regulatory Organizational Performance Officer will act as an authority and internal resource in the communication of regulatory standards and oversee a program which is a channel of communication to receive and direct information regarding maintaining standards of excellence to administrative and clinical staff and to regulatory bodies as indicated. This position ensures ongoing assessments provide insight to local and executive leaders for knowledge to know and understand facility vulneraries. The Accreditation and Regulatory Organizational Performance Officer will also facilitate application, ongoing monitoring and survey readiness for disease specific certifications.

The Accreditation and Regulatory Organizational Performance Officer will act as a liaison to TJC and all other regulatory bodies. This officer is responsible for maintaining accurate application and ongoing reporting of facility functions/resources, and ensures ongoing attention to facility updates, communications, and ongoing requirements, and is responsible for facility licensure applications and other regulatory requirements in cooperation with the executive office.

· Keeps informed of pending industry changes, trends, and best practices and assesses the potential impact of these changes on organizational processes

· Interprets regulatory rules or rule changes and ensures that they are communicated through multiple mechanisms, including policies and procedures

· Manages/assists in ongoing and comprehensive risk assessment to identify compliance gaps that need to be resolved or mitigated

· Utilizes quality improvement techniques and tools to assist with the development and implementation of detailed action plans to achieve compliance on a system-wide basis

· Advises managers on how to develop and implement audits to measure the effectiveness of new processes or action plans, including the design of audit tools, sampling methods, and the collation and display of data for analysis

· Manages/assists with the compliance database system including training, updates, security management, report generation, etc.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed :

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

· Associate’s degree in related field

· Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher

· Experience working in Healthcare setting

· Demonstrated experience in self driven role

· Demonstrated knowledge and application of:

· Governmental regulations (to include CMS)

· Customer service skills and knowledge

· Data collection, sampling, and analysis

· Strong organizational skills, time management, and delegation skills

· Computer skills to include spreadsheets, word processing, email/calendar management, and web based applications.

· Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

· Process Improvement Methodology (PDSA, DMAIC, etc) knowledge and use

· Business and management principles for strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership, and coordination of people and resources.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

  • Joint Commission Accreditation Certification

  • RN License

  • Experience with working knowledge of behavioral health care environments related to regulatory requirements.

  • Experience in management of accreditation and regulatory management in a healthcare facility
