Shift Overview

This position is currently available for 3rd shift.

3rd Shift: Sunday – Thursday 11PM to 7AM with paid lunch, voluntary overtime before or after shift.

Essential Functions

  • Proficient at setup and adjusting process parameters on one or more pieces of CNC burner equipment.

  • Reads and interprets component part drawings and uses simple tools, (tape rule, straight-edge, protractor, etc.) to confirm attainment of dimensional tolerance.

  • Cutting programs are established by others but operators are expected to select proper cutting tips, nozzles, etc. and to efficiently operate same to achieve specified dimensions with excellent quality without requiring excessive slag removal.

  • Will truck, handle or position material.

  • Every employee is expected to:

  • Complete all required paperwork including labor reporting and documentation of quality control and material movement.

  • Work safely and maintain the work area with high standards of housekeeping.

  • Perform self-inspection and other required quality control functions at the employee's workstation.

  • Perform required Preventive Maintenance activities on machinery and/or equipment operated.

  • Train and/or assist in the development of personnel.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervision.

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma plus additional related technical school training.

  • Previous metal fabrication experience.

  • Average blueprint reading and mechanical skills.

  • Works independently with minimal supervision.

  • Lifting requirements:

  • Frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

  • Lifting devices are available and recommended.

Preferred Qualifications

  • One (1) to three (3) years metal fabrication experience.
