If providing hope and healing through compassionate, innovative, and individualized care interest you, we welcome your application for the position below.The Maintenance Specialist V performs advanced (senior-level) restoration, renovation, and building maintenance work in the electronics and medical equipment fields and construction work in a designated skilled trade. Work involves calibrations to medical equipment, renovation, restoration, alteration, making inspections, adjustments, installations, maintaining and repairing buildings, utility systems, and stationary equipment, dependent on the trade and operating motorized equipment, requisitioning material and supplies; and maintaining records. Processes paperwork related to work orders, projects, and material requisitions. Acts as lead worker, providing training and guidance to others; assigns, and/or prioritizes workload. Works under minimal supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.Performs other duties as assigned. Other duties as assigned include but are not limited to actively participating and/or serving in a supporting role to meet the agencyand#146;s obligations for disaster response and/or recovery or Continuity of Operations (COOP) activation. Such participation may require an alternate shift pattern assignment and/or location. Shift statement (use as needed): This position may be eligible to earn additional pay for work performed on evenings, nights and/or weekends. Essential Job FunctionsAttends work on a regular basis and may be asked to work a specific shift schedule or, at times, even a rotating schedule, extended shift and/or overtime in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned. Performs scheduled electrical safety checks, maintenance, and calibration of electronic and biomed equipment within the capability of this facility. Maintain current records of such equipment to ensure compliance with facility, departmental, Joint Commission, and various other regulatory agency's codes and regulations. Evaluates work to be performed and determines the best method for performing maintenance and repair work. Makes in-process inspections to ensure the job is being done properly.Troubleshoots and repairs all components associated with electronic door locking systems including but not limited to electromagnet, solenoids, and electronic lock motors, the emergency power systems, fire alarms, and fire sprinkler systems. Perform after-hour emergency work on fire alarm systems and equipment when required in compliance with departmental requirements.Acts as a lead worker and provides direction to others on construction, maintenance, or repair projects. Establishes work schedules tailored to project requirements, assigns staff based on skills and experience to optimize potential project success, and oversees repairs or renovations to uphold quality standards.Maintains safe and uninterrupted services to campus operations and programs systems.
