Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance professional to interact with our production team, ensuring adherence to food safety processes and procedures. The role involves managing Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and verifying finished product goods to maintain the highest industry food safety ratings.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure full compliance with all government food safety regulations.

  • Maintain the highest possible industry food safety ratings.

  • Ensure the facility follows all GMP, HACCP guidelines, and company policies.

  • Verify and assure compliance with established food safety and quality objectives through daily monitoring programs, plant supervision, and ongoing verification of internal controls.

  • Enforce new and improved quality, food safety, and sanitation programs, policies, and procedures.

  • Maintain and recommend improvements to workplace safety programs, procedures, and policies.

  • Perform and document Food Safety (CCP) and quality documentation according to procedures.

  • Conduct ATP and environmental swabs as per procedure.

  • Inform management of shortages in quality assurance, sanitation, and operations supplies and assist in maintaining adequate supply levels.

  • Accurately collect, document, and communicate data, taking corrective action to address deviations and uphold company standards.

Essential Skills

  • Knowledge and experience in food microbiology, food safety, and sanitation systems.

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.

  • Ability to communicate in Spanish.

  • Analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate and use creative and innovative approaches to resolve complex problems.

  • Knowledge of HACCP, organic, gluten-free, and allergen requirements.

  • Understanding of chemical safety and food industry sanitation procedures.

  • Experience with FDA and USDA regulations.

  • Proficiency in computer skills, including Office and Excel.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Food handlers certification.

  • PCQI certification.

  • Experience in food manufacturing.

  • Knowledge of company procedures and expectations.

Work Environment

This position requires being on your feet 95% of the day in temperatures under 40 degrees.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of NA, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.
