Principal Accountabilities:

  • Tracks and updates status of NPIs during preparation, tapeout and mask making phase and communicates status within technical forums effectively.

  • Ensuring the correct electrical measurement structure sets have been placed on particular NPIs, MPWs (Multi Product Wafers) or technology development test chips based on the respective customer- and internal requirements.

  • Runs sandbox simulations to verify the electrical measurement requirements can be fulfilled based on available frame space, generates frame proposal presentation.

  • Definition and requesting of electrical measurement programs for NPIs, MPWs or technology development test chips based on requirements.

  • Analyzing electrical measurements of NPIs throughout the technology portfolio, reviews electrical data and generates reports.

  • Reviews incoming customer design in DRC (Design rule check) and actively follows-up on open items, generates DRC reports.

  • Tracks and drives resolution of product introduction specific topics (e.g., design rule violations, design extraction mismatches to expectation)

  • Understands and balances tape out priorities effectively wrt timeline.

  • Clear reporting and communication of issues to fab teams daily

  • Must be flexible in job assignment and ready to work on weekend shifts on a rotational basis as required by the business.

    Other Responsibilities:

  • Candidate will drive yield enhancement for multiple products by analyzing failing electrical parameters and rapidly data mining to investigate root causes and containing excursions and protecting supply.

  • Develop and improve yield characterization and data analysis methodologies to rapidly determine yield limiters, correlation to in-line defectivity and metrology, and electrical parametric signals.

  • Production Sustaining: Monitoring electrical performance tends, disposition of holds at electrical and sort test, support general/urgent fab operational issues, scrap investigation, analysis for process change review boards.

  • Support process module engineering activities through electrical test, inline metrology, and yield analysis to improve cost, cycle-time, and manufacturing robustness.

  • Clear reporting and communication of issues to home teams on a daily basis

  • Must be flexible in job assignment and ready to work on weekend shifts on a rotational basis as required by the business.

    Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's with 1-2 Years or masters. with 0-1 years of relevant experience in Physics or Communication Engineering and are passionate about next-generation semiconductor technologies seeking for a challenging task in the field of new product introductions.

  • Good understanding of semiconductor process technology, solid state device physics and submicron device architectures

  • Decent critical thinking skills and basic understanding of statistical data analysis is required.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within a globally matrixed team or environment.

  • Aggressive learner and a strong team player, excellent analytical skills, on-time delivery of assigned work

  • Excellent verbal and written communication

  • Scripting skills are a plus.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ideally, the candidate needs to have some experience in technical roles within the semiconductor industry. Experiences in design and/or transistor physics preferred. Preferably, you have some experience in statistics and data analysis.

  • Hands on experience in wafer electrical/functional/sort test is strongly desired.

  • Working experience in CMOS process and process module/equipment (200mm/300mm) is strongly preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within a globally matrixed team or environment.

  • Organized, proactive, excellent analytical skills, on-time delivery of work assigned, and good verbal and written communication.

  • Able to perform in a fast paced and challenging environment.

  • Scripting and coding skills (especially R and Python) are desirable.
