Responsibilities
We are seeking aRadiologic Technologist II (PRN) at St Joseph Medical Center (Kansas City, MO) a member of Prime Healthcare. Focus will be on conducting diagnostic X-ray procedures. This involves operating X-ray equipment to capture images of patients' internal structures for diagnostic purposes. An important role in assisting healthcare providers by producing high-quality images that aid in diagnosing medical conditions and formulating treatment plans for our patients. This position is on a per diem basis, meaning PRN.

To perform duties in this position you must be CT certified and certified in one other modality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):
perform Diagnostic Radiographic, Cat Scan, Mammography, Bone Density, Ultrasound, or other procedures according to department protocols, while cross training as a CT Tech
responsible for ensuring that X-ray equipment is functioning properly and that images meet quality standards, which may involve performing equipment checks, calibrations, and troubleshooting as needed
interact with patients to explain procedures, address concerns, and ensure their comfort and safety during X-ray examinations
maintain accurate records of X-ray procedures, including patient information, images, and relevant medical history
stay updated on advancements in radiologic technology and participate in continuing education to maintain licensure and certification
operate radiographic equipment to produce high-quality images
participate in Performance Improvement (PI) and Quality Control (QC) activities and assist in maintaining Performance Improvement Programs (PIP)
maintain your Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) and Kansas State Board of Healing Arts license
Qualifications
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
Licensure and fluoroscopy permit as required by State.
Effective July 1, 2017 appropriate national certifications in two modalities required
Current BCLS (AHA).
Must be familiar with State and Federal regulations.
One year of Acute Clinical Radiography preferred
Graduate of a program accredited by JRCERT or ABHES
Proficient computer skills.
