Job Description Summary:

The KUMC School of Nursing is seeking a dynamic individual to serve as the Program Coordinator for the Geriatric Workforce Enrichment Program (GWEP).

Job Description:

The GWEP Program Coordinator will be responsible for performing post-award activities in a statewide academic-community partnership. The primary role will be to work with the Project Director and Site Project Director to facilitate and coordinate all aspects of the project; coordinate project Leads and Co-Leads to facilitate and track attainment of project goals and objectives per established timelines; work with the Program Evaluator to ensure timely collection of data and reporting of project outcomes; facilitate scheduling of virtual and in-person meetings of the Advisory Committee and project team; facilitate travel and lodging for meetings and conferences Base salary is estimated at the mid-point for this job profile.

This is a full-time position, using a hybrid work model.

Required Qualifications:

Education: Master\'s Degree in health care, social work, public health, or related field. Related professional-level work experience may be substituted for degree on a year-for-year basis.

Work Experience: One (1) year of related professional-level work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Work Experience:

  • Previous work experience in a healthcare, social care, or academic setting.
  • Experience in geriatrics or gerontology.
  • Experience working with faculty, administrative staff, students, and community sites.
  • Experience working with diverse populations.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Loop), Redcap, Qualtrics, Zoom, Teams, and familiarity with database management.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work.

Job Duties Outlined:

Recruitment

  • Coordinate with the Program Director (PD) for recruitment of rural and/or medically underserved clinical sites for program participation.
  • Facilitate recruitment, applications, review, and selection of students, fellows, site, and program participants.

Communication and Outreach:

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for program participants, faculty, and partners.
  • Develop and disseminate communication materials, including newsletters, brochures, and social media content.
  • Coordinate outreach efforts to engage healthcare professionals and organizations in program activities.
  • Manage communication and timelines for evaluations of academic-community program participants.
  • Facilitate MOA/Letters of Support for academic-community partners.
  • Communicate with project team regarding team planning meetings, applicant review, and other events.
  • Manage program correspondence and maintain organized filing systems.

Curriculum and Resource Management:

  • Assist in the development and distribution of educational materials and resources.
  • Support faculty and trainers in the preparation and delivery of training sessions.
  • Ensure that educational resources are up-to-date and accessible to participants.

Data Collection and Reporting:

  • Facilitate the collection and ana ysis of data related to program activities and outcomes.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports to the Program Director and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with PD on required HRSA reports as scheduled (quantitative and qualitative).
  • Maintain databases and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Collaborate with Project Director and other team members in writing proposals for additional funding, as opportunities arise.

Logistics and Administrative Duties:

Manage award and distribution of stipends and incentives to program participants

Handle administrative tasks such as ordering supplies, processing invoices, and managing budgets.

Facilitate travel and lodging for meetings and conferences.

Provide administrative support to the Project Director. Site Project Director, Evaluator, and other team members as needed.

Maintain list of applicants and participants by reporting period.
