Job Description Summary:

The Conflict of Interest Assistant reports to the Director, Research Integrity and provides assistance with the Conflict of Interest and the Research Integrity programs, part of the University of Kansas Medical Center\'s Office of Integrity and Compliance. Duties include assisting with disclosure and training completions, scheduling meetings and sending correspondence on behalf of the director, and compiling information and reports.

Job Description:

Required Qualifications

Education: Highschool diploma or GED equivalent.

Work Experience:

  • Two years of relevant office administrative experience as evidenced in application materials
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Experience drafting and distributing clear and professional communications.
  • Experience appropriately handling sensitive and confidential matters

Preferred Qualifications

Education: Associate\'s degree in business administration, operations, project management, or other relevant fields

Work Experience:

  • Office experience working in higher education, sciences, or hospital environment.
  • Experience managing a principal\'s calendar.

Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to interact in a professional manner with a wide variety of people (example: public, peers, leadership, etc.)
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize, take initiative, multitask, and meet deadlines effectively
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment, decision-making, seek information and learn new things quickly
  • Detail-oriented to ensure accuracy of work
  • Work independently

Job Description:

  • Assist with onboarding new employees to the conflict of interest reporting system (myCOI)
  • Assist with issuing and tracking certifications to students, residents and University of Kansas Health System affiliates
  • Assist with account reviews to assure the myCOI system member information is up to date and accurate
  • Assist with tracking training assignments and completions and sending follow up correspondence on behalf of the Director
  • Correspond on behalf of the Director with manager/supervisors regarding certifications requiring review
  • Schedule meetings and events

The pay range listed for this position is determined by our compensation program using market data and salary benchmarking. A combination of factors is considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, education, experience and training, qualifications relative to the requirements of the position, and funding.
