About the Role

As the System Manager for Compensation and Performance Management, you'll play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, reviewing, and administering all compensation and performance management programs across our organization (excluding Executive and provider roles). Your contributions are vital in ensuring that our frameworks align with organizational goals, remain competitive in the industry, and adhere to relevant policies and regulations.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field; Master's preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in compensation and performance management, with leadership experience.
  • Experience with compensation and performance management systems.
  • Hybrid position with on-site presence required at Kalamazoo and Battle Creek Human Resources locations.

     

Responsibilities

Integrated Compensation and Performance Management:

  • Lead strategic design and administration of compensation programs tailored to healthcare roles.
  • Implement performance management systems aligned with compensation structures to enhance clinical and operational performance.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to ensure timely wage quotes and counteroffers, prioritizing internal client collaboration.
  • Oversee HR budget, collaborating with HR leadership and Finance for strategic resource allocation.
  • Provide guidance on annual compensation activities and evaluate Total Rewards impact.
  • Investigate alternative compensation strategies and enhance current processes.

Healthcare-Specific Strategies:

  • Adapt compensation and performance management practices to healthcare industry dynamics.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and ethical practices.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment, demonstrating adaptability and resilience.

Data-Driven Decision-Making:

  • Utilize advanced analytics to inform compensation and performance management strategies.
  • Conduct market analyses to benchmark compensation packages.
  • Model data to create compensation options.

Leadership and Team Development:

  • Manage and mentor the compensation team, fostering continuous learning.
  • Collaborate with senior management to align policies with organizational goals.
  • Foster a collaborative environment encouraging innovation.
  • Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal abilities and professionalism.
