RES Director, Business Finance - Services in Juneau, Alaska

Summary:

The Director, Business Finance – Services will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities for the operations in the North America Region, including but not limited to Canada and USA. This role requires a strong leader who can develop financial strategies, ensure compliance, and drive financial performance while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Requirements:

  • Develops and implements the financial region strategy aligned with the company's overall business.

  • Oversees the budgeting process, financial forecasting, and long-term financial planning.

  • Analyzes project financial performance to provide insights and recommendations to senior management.

  • Assists in the development of the annual budget and financial forecasts, monitoring performance against budgets, and preparing variance analyses.

  • Evaluates and manages capital investments in the region, including risk assessments, and return on investment analyses.

  • Monitors and manages projects cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity for operational needs and

  • strategic investments. Develop strategies to optimize working capital.

  • Implements cost control measures and efficiency programs to improve project profitability while ensuring health and quality standards.

  • Ensures compliance with internal and external financial regulations, accounting standards, and reporting requirements.

  • Communicates financial performance and strategic initiatives to stakeholders, including the head of regions and senior management.

  • Leads the finance team within the region, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability,

  • and professional development. Mentor and train team members.

  • Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected.

  • Complies with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct, and Company Policies & Procedures.

  • Identifies financial risks associated with operations and projects, developing strategies to mitigate these risks.

  • Works closely with various departments, including operations, procurement, and project

  • management, to provide financial insights and support strategic initiatives.

  • Stays informed about market trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements to inform financial strategies and decision-making.

  • Presents, supports, and leads-by-example with a safety and quality-oriented attitude.

  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and best practices.

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.

  • Experience in managing and developing high performing teams.

  • Fluent in English

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree Finance and Accounting required.

  • Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or CPA preferred.

  • Minimum of 10 years of demonstrated senior finance role, preferably in energy sector.

  • Domestic and International travel: 16%-30%.

The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. This position is bonus eligible.
