Position Summary:
Supervises, plans, coordinates, and controls the activities related to all construction and renovation projects in addition to representing the owner on large multi-year and multi-phased projects. The manager works closely with contractor project managers and superintendents to prepare comprehensive action plans, including resources, timeframes, and project budgets. Ultimately the Construction Manager’s duties are to ensure that all projects within the Conemaugh Health Care System are completed on time, on budget, and with high quality. Is responsible for all landscaping and snow removal contracting for the organization. Is responsible for all property management functions outside of the Main Campus on Franklin Street. Will coordinate Department of Health communications for all facilities functions.

· Vocational school graduate with background in building trades is required. Actual job experience may be substituted for formal education:5 years experience as superintendent or assistant superintendent for a construction company, 5 years experience as a manager of a maintenance department or construction manager of a hospital 50 beds or greater,
· 5 years experience as superintendent or assistant superintendent for a construction company or 5 years experience as a manager of a maintenance department or construction manager of a hospital 50 beds or greater
· Journeyman or Masters License in one or more of the building trades.
· Communication – Express ideas effectively in individual and group settings along with listening to the ideas and expressions of others. Adjust language and terminology to the characteristics and needs of the audience.
· Motivation – Maintain high levels of productivity.
· Computer – Efficient with Microsoft Office and data base programs.
