Hybrid role in Johnston, RI

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Technical Business Analyst to identify business needs and determine solutions to business problems. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of business processes and technology, as well as the ability to bridge the gap between the two.

Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $60 - $70 / hr. w2

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze business needs and provide technology solutions that meet those needs.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and document business requirements.

  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications.

  • Perform data analysis to support business decision-making.

  • Implement, configure, and test feasible solutions.

  • Work closely with project management and software developers to design and implement solutions.

  • Conduct system testing to ensure requirements have been met.

  • Provide user training and support.

  • Create and present reports to technical and non-technical team members.

  • Create detailed and clear user stories with acceptance criteria to ensure development teams understand the requirements.

  • Assist the product owner in managing the product backlog, ensuring it aligns with business goals and project timelines.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to refine and prioritize user stories based on business value and technical feasibility.

  • Utilize Azure DevOps for tracking and managing work items, sprints, and releases.

  • Conduct backlog grooming sessions to keep the backlog up-to-date and ensure the highest priority items are ready for development.

  • Facilitate sprint planning meetings to ensure the development team understands the scope and objectives of each sprint.

Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Extensive experience in technical business analysis in a related industry.

  • Advanced knowledge of programming languages like SQL and system integration solutions.

  • Ability to analyze and visualize data.

  • Ability to facilitate internal end-user proficiency.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

  • Knowledge of data security and encryption.

  • Familiarity with software development methodologies: Agile, Scrum, Kanban

  • Data Analysis and Visualization: Proficiency in tools like Excel, SQL, and Power BI.

  • Database Management: Understanding of database concepts and experience with database management systems like SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL.

  • Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC): Familiarity with SDLC methodologies like Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.

  • Business Intelligence (BI): Experience with BI tools and techniques.

  • Process Modeling and Workflow Analysis: Skills in creating process models and analyzing workflows to improve business processes.

  • Requirements Gathering and Documentation: Ability to gather, document, and manage technical requirements for projects.

  • Software Testing: Knowledge of software testing principles and techniques, including test case development and user acceptance testing.

  • Programming Skills: Basic knowledge of programming languages such as Python, R, or Java. (nice to have)

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
