JOB SUMMARY: To provide students with a safe, attractive, comfortable, clean, and efficient place to learn, play, and develop.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be at least 18 years of age
Valid Iowa drivers license required
Ability to meet the following physical requirements:
Push, pull, lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Climb and work from ladder, scaffolding, or personnel lift
Stand and walk for long periods of time
Ability to read basic operating instructions
Satisfactory collaborative and interpersonal skills
Successful completion of a criminal background check and physical capacity profile test required upon offer.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs general duties with the guidance and assistance of the current Buildings & Grounds staff
Assists in the moving of classroom furniture, materials, and equipment
Properly maintains grounds (mowing, trimming, etc.) with ability and knowledge to safely operate appropriate machinery and equipment
Additional duties assigned by supervisor

Works well with others, maintaining positive and effective communication with school personnel
Demonstrates integrity and respects confidentiality
Arrives on time and works consistently until the end of scheduled day
Works independently and with confidence
Demonstrates ability to grasp and adjust to new and changing situations
Demonstrates initiative and ability to work without close supervision
Terms of Employment
7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday-Friday
May - August
