Position Summary
Maintains the stability and efficiency of in-house information systems by optimizing networked software and operating systems. Resolves issues to maximize the value of information technology systems.
Major Tasks and Responsibilities
Oversees and monitors installed systems and infrastructure to ensure efficient operation.
Installs, configures, tests, and maintains operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
Maintains maximum system availability and performance by addressing potential bottlenecks and working with developers on fixes.
Develops and maintains custom scripts to improve system efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
Provides advanced technical support and coordinates with vendors and information technology teams for effective problem resolution.
Manages and upholds security, backup, and redundancy protocols
Participates in designing information and operational support systems.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
2+ years of information technology or system engineering experience.
Proficiency in server environments, application stacks, and cloud platforms.
Knowledge of virtualization, monitoring, automation, scripting, and networking.
