Lockheed Martin Calibration Technician II in John C Stennis Space Center, Mississippi

The Metrology Laboratory currently seeks a Calibration Technician to perform the following duties:

• Calibrate, adjust, and maintain electronic, electromechanical, mechanical, optical, pneumatic, hydromechanical, force, torque, and pressure-type measuring and indicating instruments to conform to set standards.

• Work from verbal and written instructions and information supplemented by technical job knowledge and experience.

• Research and develop or assist in the development of calibration methods and procedures according to detailed blueprints, drawings, and instructions.

• Prepare calibration data reports, data sheets, and other required documentation.

• Research and develop or assists in the development of automated calibration software.

• Resolve problems through interface with customers, vendors, and management.

• May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

Basic Qualifications:

• High School diploma, or equivalent with additional specialized technical training equivalent to a technical Associate degree and/or demonstrated ability to perform assigned technical/para-engineering tasks.

• Experience calibrating / adjusting electronic or physical / dimensional test and measurement equipment.

• Able to periodically lift & carry in excess of 50 lbs.

• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.

• US citizenship required to have access to site location.

• Ability to obtain & maintain a Public Trust Security Clearance.

Desired Skills:

• Military PMEL / TMDE training.

• 3+ years experience calibrating / adjusting electronic or physical / dimensional test and measurement equipment.

• Experience using various automation platforms (MetCal, Lab-view, Compass).

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
