JOB TITLE: Wellness Associate II, GHP

LOCATION: Jersey Shore Hospital

WORK TYPE: Full Time (1.0 FTE)


Serves community or practice/facility-based population management initiatives including on site programs, screening services, fitness classes, evidence based program facilitation and program development for the wellness team and partners. Is responsible for the development and oversight, as well as implementation of health and wellness programs at the facility as well as surrounding community initiatives.

Works under the general supervision of Regional Manager, Wellness Programs. Works closely with Clinical Reporting/IT, clinical partners and community/employer partners. Duties include both internal and external responsibilities. Acts in cooperation with Health Services staff.


Demonstrates strong written and oral communication skills.

Demonstrates self motivation an ability to work independently as needed.

Demonstrates knowledge of medical terminology, word processing, and spreadsheet and database software.

Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and customer service.

Demonstrates excellent organizational ability.


Bachelor's degree in healthcare field or health promotion/wellness required.

Group fitness certification required. (Yoga instruction, sit and fit/flexibility classes, fitness classes etc.)

Minimum one year healthcare/wellness work experience required.

Experience with computers and use of software (i.e. PowerPoint, Excel, spreadsheets, databases) required.


There is travel involved in this position. There may be occasional overnight travel.

Position hours vary. They may include early morning start times or later afternoon/evenings for Community activities. Employees must have a flexible schedule and varies based on volume/need.

The work requires packing, loading and unloading equipment, setting up and tearing down rooms. Equipment is provided (rolling carts, etc.) and staff is required to pack responsibly and not overload totes.
