Analyze compliance surveillance, transactional data sets, and bank-related reference data and then identify and pursue opportunities to enhance compliance operations. Author key Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirements Documents (FRDs), map workflows, and dataflow processes, with focus on coordinating and advising technical and data teams in all areas of Compliance across the organization and interfacing heavily with technology teams. Review data sets, data mappings, and business processes, and then create and review financial intelligence reports, and bring inventive solutions to a variety of compliance challenges across the Bank. Document User Acceptance Test (UAT) test plans and actively participate in hands-on testing. Track defects and resolutions. Develop and distribute UAT metrics to project teams and detailed change management project plans and timelines with accountable stakeholders and external vendors. Conduct capacity planning, monitoring, and performance tuning of technological resources for internal compliance policy and compliance system development. Monitor emerging data and technology issues, and develop technical solutions for data analytics and recommend improvements to enhance analytic capabilities and automation within the Compliance Department.Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Computer Information Systems, plus five years of post-Bachelor’s progressive experience in the position offered or a business analyst role within the finance/banking sector.**All required experience must have included managing and planning large-scale development and QA of compliance systems in Agile methodology; overseeing data flow, analyzing critical data sets, and helping developers identify the data required to implement compliance checks and the operations risk while working with internal and external data; applying knowledge of trading regulations (Volcker, Title VII) and market manipulation rules (spoofing, layering, front running) under FINRA and Dodd-Frank for financial products across fixed income, equities, derivatives and alternate investment; working with third party products, managing multi-team delivery of solutions, and working with stakeholders to define SLAs; handling critical data and ensuring delivered compliance system adheres to data security and privacy regulations that protect customer and financial data, such as EU GDPR, Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, and California Consumer Privacy Act; keeping updated on new technologies including cloud capabilities in handling data at scale; identifying issues with multi-tenant solutions to ensure operational stability; and working with stakeholders to define SLAs for smooth execution of compliance system.This role entails hybrid work, with time split between working in our Jersey City, NJ office and flexibility to telecommute from another U.S. location. Salary range: $159,000 to $196,000/year.
