job summary:

A Construction Manager is needed for the world's largest food and beverage company in the Jefferson, WI area. This job oversees all site construction activities for CapEx projects, ensuring safety, compliance, and effective communication with stakeholders, while managing schedules, costs, and quality standards using technical expertise and project management skills.

responsibilities:

  • Manage Financial, Safety, and schedule Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), addressing deviations or proposing alternatives to PEM.

  • Manage various CM resources for major capital projects.

  • Review SAP project details and update project management tools (Microsoft Project, PETPRO, BIM 360, CXAlloy).

  • Organize and manage asset tracking, tagging, and project close-out activities.

  • Track, sign for, maintain, and transfer Company Procured Field Equipment and Company Assets.

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work site.

  • Ensure project execution, inspection, and quality acceptance per specifications, drawings, scope, schedule, and budget.

  • Coordinate and maintain all field schedules, planning at least 6 weeks in advance.

  • Utilize scheduling tools (5 Forward / 1 Back Week Look Ahead, Detailed Gantt, and Milestones).

  • Collaborate with PEM, Leads, and Site Staff on projects.

  • Act as Construction Lead for specific projects.

  • Coordinate with Project Support Staff, vendors, NPE, PEM, contractors, sub-contractors, plant, and suppliers.

  • Prepare and maintain Project Specific EWO and CO Documentation.

  • Manage Field Inputs, RFIs, and Submittals through CX Alloy or similar tools.

  • Provide daily and weekly reports to the PEM, copying the plant engineer.

  • Conduct weekly planning meetings with the plant engineer to schedule construction activities.

  • Lead the FIELD support team (Scheduler, Safety, cost control, expeditor, etc.).

Basic Qualifications/Certification (Minimum):

  • Experience managing projects through all construction phases.

  • Certifications: PMP, PMI, GAC, CCM, CMCI, CMAA or similar.

  • OSHA 30

  • CPR

  • Fall protection

Experience (Years/Type):

  • 15 years in Construction Management on multi-million dollar CapEx projects in the food and/or industrial manufacturing industry.

  • 10 years in at least 2 of 3 project types (Civil, Structural, Architectural).

  • 3+ years using software applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, Cx Alloy, etc.).

Highly Preferred Experience:

  • Overseeing build-out of trailer drop lot in a manufacturing/industrial environment.

  • Civil engineering and permitting/zoning.

Skills:

  • Proficient in Information Technology (BIM 360, File Sharing Systems, Cx Alloy, Pet Pro, SAP, MS Windows, Adobe Acrobat, MS Office Suite).

  • strong decision-making abilities.

  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs; extensive walking on construction sites.

  • Ability to work independently and possess good interpersonal skills.

  • Manage technical, commercial, and administrative tasks.

  • Thorough understanding of Project Management, Building Design and Construction, Scheduling, Cost Modeling, and Risk Analysis.

  • Articulate and analytical problem-solving approach.

  • Steel toe shoes required (provided at own expense); other safety gear provided by the facility.
