Centene Corporation Senior EndPoint Security Engineer in Jefferson City, Missouri

Position Purpose:

Performs as a subject matter expert in one or more of the endpoint security systems. Analyzes, streamlines, and automates operational tasks and processes to protect the organization's endpoint and end user computes systems against adversaries as well as helps build endpoint security systems and solutions. Defines endpoint security standards as well as implements and maintains technologies to measure conformance against endpoint security standards. Implements, configures, and maintains endpoint security tools and technologies.

  • Identify and build golden signal metrics monitoring for multiple protective security technologies including, but not limited to, endpoint security technologies (e.g.: anti-virus solutions, endpoint protection platforms, and endpoint detection and response)

  • Automates routine operational tasks and processes and identifies potential end user security threats/risks and take necessary steps to mitigate them

  • Build and configure monitoring dashboards for multiple protective security technologies including, but not limited to, endpoint security technologies

  • Recommends best in class industry standard security technologies by collaborating with development teams and other subject matter experts

  • Partners with key stakeholders to advocate on security infrastructure and contribute in projects to implement security standards

  • Reviews standard operating procedures related to security technologies and governance

  • Develops enterprise solutions with respect to developing security controls and methods to mitigate security risks

  • Advises on the design, implementation, and configuration of protective security technology architecture, software, and controls

  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Complies with all policies and standards

Education/Experience:

A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science).

Requires 4 – 6 years of related experience.

Or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position.

Technical Skills:

  • One or more of the following skills are desired:

  • Other: Experience with endpoint technologies (e.g. Anti-virus, Endpoint Detection and Response, Endpoint Protection Platforms, etc.)

  • Other: Experience with monitoring technologies(e.g. SEIM, SNMP Monitoring solutions, synthetic transactions etc.)

  • Other: Basic knowledge of network troubleshooting

Soft Skills:

  • Intermediate - Seeks to acquire knowledge in area of specialty

  • Intermediate - Ability to identify basic problems and procedural irregularities, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

  • Intermediate - Ability to work independently

Pay Range: $83,600.00 - $155,000.00 per year

Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law. Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives.
