Job Purpose
We are seeking an Inside Sales Representative for our Performance Polymers Division (PPD) they will work with specific customers to deliver Best-in-Class for Customer Experience. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering exceptional customer service, possess strong sales and communication skills, have a proven track record of driving customer satisfaction and demonstrating ability to grow revenue and optimize margins by bringing value to the customer base. The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for delivering the customer’s experience, set expectations, and maintain relationships and provide the day-to-day activities of supporting customers.
Principal Accountabilities
Customer Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for identified accounts, maintaining robust relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction. Collaborate with Account Management team to support premium accounts and larger customers.
Customer Experience Enhancement: Communicate and respond effectively and in a timely manner to ensure best-in-class customer experience. Establish and maintain relationships with customers, delivering support and insights to grow assigned customers.
Sales Support: Collaborate with sales teams to maintain customer engagement, support sales activities, negotiate contracts and pricing, identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional products and services.
Complaint Resolution: Promptly respond to and handle customer complaints, providing effective solutions and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
Market Intelligence: Communicate competitive information and industry trends to Account Managers, aiding in strategic decision-making.
CRM Management: Maintain an accurate and up-to-date CRM database, including customer contact information, call reporting, opportunities, and lead details.
Performance Management: Monitor KPIs to measure performance of sales targets, using the data to develop strategies to meet targets, enhance results, and customer satisfaction.
Logistics Coordination: Oversee the shipment of physical samples and Product Data Sheets to customers, ensuring timely delivery.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with account managers, customer service, and technical service personnel to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
Knowledge / Skills / Experience
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in mechanical/technology/chemical engineering, business, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in customer service and/or sales, preferably in chemical or manufacturing industry.
Exceptional telephone communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing to internal and external contacts.
Effective presentation skills for diverse audiences, including technical and purchasing staff.
Competency in using sales-related technologies, CRM tools, and digital communication platforms.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and networks.
Creative and innovative mindset, with a strong problem-solving ability.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new products, industries, and customer needs.
Effective organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple leads and opportunities simultaneously.
Capability to think critically and provide solutions to customer challenges.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (e.g., Excel, Word).
High level of professionalism, with good judgment and decision-making skills.
Pay Transparency (complete highlighted sections)
The salary range for this position is $66,500 - $83,100. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
