A major player in aviation construction is seeking an Operations Manager to join its team near the JFK airport.
As Operations Manager, you will report to the Jetworks Director and oversee business development and project completion for installations and repairs. Typical projects include work on baggage slides, ground equipment, passenger boarding bridges, wheelchair lifts, and battery chargers. This role includes working with the project management team daily to ensure all work is meeting specs, schedule, and budget. You will attend meetings and work to ensure look-ahead schedules are set and goals are reached. The Operations Manager will conduct business development meetings with new and current clients and keep stakeholders up to date on projects. This role will require travel to other regional airports and client sites as needed.
Candidates must have a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10+ years of experience in project management and aviation construction for work like passenger boarding bridges, ground support equipment, wheelchair lifts, baggage slides, air conditioning etc. You must understand project scheduling, budget creation, estimating, and OSHA safety standards.
