Responsibilities

Coordinates Protocol Development, Quality and Safety Initiatives in close coordination with Radiologists and Physicists to produce high quality imaging that meets the standards established by the Mayo Clinic Department of Radiology and the American College of Radiology.

Oversees staff education and training. Helps with onboarding/training of new and current technologists with equipment and protocols. Review Technologist QA and Peer Learning. Works jointly with vendors and applications specialists as invited by leadership and then circulates pertinent information to the staff. Maintains DX protocols within the machines and Rolodex and ensures consistency throughout the Diagnostic department. Works with various divisions to ensure protocol optimization and standardization. Requires competence in a variety of DX specific equipment and computer technology. Practices safety guidelines for patients, support personnel, and themselves. Encourages teamwork through effective communication. Maintains flexibility for staff by being available by adjusting shift times and lengths and being onsite at multiple work locations (Main Campus and Offsites). Required to attend Departmental Meetings and serve as the DX Quality and Safety representative. Review SERF data and provide analysis at departmental meetings. Additional responsibilities may vary.

Qualifications

Graduated from an accredited Radiography Program. Possess strong human relations and problem-solving skills. Possess strong written, oral communication, interpersonal and analytical skills. Proficient in the use of clinical applications, and office productivity tools such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Additional Qualifications

Associate degree and 5 five years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist preferred.

License or Certification

Florida License in Radiography

ARRT registration in Radiography (R)

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of start date
