A design-build firm is looking for a Project Manager in Jacksonville. Candidates must have a BS in Engineering or Construction Management degree. Should have 10 years of construction management experience. Must show a track record of working on Federal government construction projects. Should have overseen projects from cradle to grave. Salary, bonus and benefits.

responsibilities:

Assist Chief Estimator in the bid process through the solicitation of trade contractors, development of general conditions estimates, self-performing trade takeoffs and schedule refinement.

Finalize and implement the project schedule, managing the project within the prescribed period of performance.

Determine project staffing requirements for Superintendent, QAQC and SSHO. Coordinate trade labor with home office to schedule and dispatch workers to construction sites.

Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with plan & spec, building and safety codes, and other regulations.

Interpret/explain plan intent and contract terms and requirements to administrative and project staff, workers and subcontractors.

Review subcontractor scopes of work, prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors.

Responsible for obtaining all necessary licenses, permits and agency approvals to start the work.

Work with Superintendent to develop appropriate construction means and methods.
