Are you a B Diesel Mechanic looking for a new opportunity and challenge? If so then this position is for you. This is a direct permenant position with a company on the Northside of Jacksonville. They are in need of a B Diesel Mechanic or higher. The pay tange is $28-$33 depending on your experience. The shift is 7am to 4pm M-F. You are required to have your own set of tools. CDL license is preffered but not required. APPLY TODAY!!!!

Responsibilities

• Routine Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance on diesel engines and vehicles, including oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication.

• Diagnostic Testing: Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems in diesel engines.

• Repair and Overhaul: Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems such as fuel systems, exhaust systems, cooling systems, and engine components.

• Troubleshooting: Investigate issues reported by drivers or detected during routine inspections to determine the cause and recommend solutions.

• Adjustments: Make adjustments to diesel engine components to ensure proper performance and efficiency.

• Documentation: Maintain detailed records of all repairs, maintenance, and inspections performed on diesel engines and vehicles.

• Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations when performing repairs and maintenance tasks.

• Testing and Quality Control: Conduct tests and quality control checks to ensure that repairs and maintenance meet manufacturer specifications and standards.

The essential functions of this role include:

• wearing steel toe shoes

• manual lifting up to 50lbs

• standing for 8 hours at one time

Skills

• Electrical (3 years of experience is preferred)

• Maintenance (3 years of experience is preferred)

• Computer Skills

• Diagnostic Procedures (3 years of experience is preferred)

• DOT Work (3 years of experience is preferred)

• Preventative Maintenance (3 years of experience is preferred)
