In this challenging position, your main task is the responsible management of large and medium-sized projects with extensive specifications. You lead interdisciplinary project teams and you are responsible for the achievement of project goals.
Responsibilities:
General tasks
Management of large and medium-sized projects with extensive specifications using relevant project management tools
Central contact person for customers within the scope of the assigned tasks.
Preparation of regular project reports and status reports
Independent preparation and execution of project review meetings
Collaboration in the optimization of process flows, e.g. for ETO projects, and related project management tools and work templates
Responsibility for budget compliance (on budget):
Ongoing and final cost control to ensure margins are maintained
Responsible for change order management
Commercial review of order costing and responsible takeover of orders as part of the "Clean Order" order takeover process
Support from sales to win orders for large projects.
Initiating the invoicing process
Responsibility for adherence to schedule (on time):
Create, agree and coordinate scheduling using the "Critical Path Method" and ensure deadlines are tracked.
Coordinate departments with respect to project workflows.
Responsible for resolving conflicts, and escalating in a timely manner if necessary
Managing internal and external communication:
Leading interdisciplinary project teams as project manager.
Project stakeholder management ("one face to the customer")
Creation and maintenance of project RAILs
Responsible for the execution of project meetings
Responsible for the coordination of project documentation
Participation in project meetings at the customer, e.g. kick-off, HAZOP, ...
Quality / Warranty:
Request and accompany ITP's (Inspection and Test Plan).
Preparation of the project quality management plan and SMDL's (Suppliers Master Document List)
Support of inspectors /customer acceptance tests
Coordination of the handling of warranties within the scope of the project and the commissioning, if necessary also on site at the customer.
Requirements:
Completed university education (industrial engineering or technical/scientific studies) required or comparable
Sound, practical experience in project management of larger projects
Very good knowledge of German and business fluent in English
Strong communication and assertiveness skills
Intercultural understanding
Good SAP knowledge, as well as MS Project and MS Office skills
Good knowledge of contract law
High ability to work under pressure as well as structured working methods and organizational skills
High level of initiative and ability to work in a team
