PROJECT ENGINEER
Job Description:
Work on Project process, Submittals, and samples. Prepare daily reports and work schedule. Support project staff and subcontractors in quality control and engineering Creating submittals and RFI's and maintain a log for tracking Assist execution of the site surveys. Review shop drawings. Assist the Scheduler with the schedule updates and identify the activities that are out of sequence and prepare recovery plans if required. Assist the project manager with the change orders and take-offs on the RFPs and prepare monthly payment packages. Assist QM with the review of the Design Drawings and Specifications. Comparing the material received with the approvals and coordination with QM for preparation material inspection report Conduct field inspections in accordance with approved documents Conduct material inventory, Budget allocation, Contract Deviation Design and Management Process Schedule client meetings relating to design concerns and cost options Analyze discrepancies between drawings and existing field conditions to submit reports for request for information Ensure work is done in compliance with all relevant building and safety codes Travel to various NYC Metropolitan area job sites at least 40% per week.Educational requirements: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering.
Experience requirements: 24 mons in any related project engineering or construction cost estimating occupations.
