Banking Operations Manager

The Banking Operations Manager job supervises professional level employees who are responsible for the administrative and transactional processes that facilitate the delivery of consumer and commercial banking services. This job maintains responsibility for compliance with all relevant accounting and control standards within banking operations, and oversees governance for all transaction processes and delivery of services. As a team manager, this job sets goals and objectives for team members and ensures that policies and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Develops plan for improving service standards by automating, centralizing, and streamlining processes and procedures within the consumer and commercial banking operations.

  • Establishes policies and procedures for managing referral calls and follow-ups with prospective clients, and maintains responsibility for reconciling non-routine customer, branch operations or bank inquiries.

  • Supervises a team of professionals who complete customer applications for financial products and deliver financial advice regarding investments, loans, mortgages, retirement planning, and other financial products.

  • Allocates accountability for compliance with corporate, regulatory, and control procedures by establishing operational processes.

  • Oversees leadership, coaching, and process improvement initiatives to improve the operational efficiency of the consumer and commercial banking business.

  • Manages performance of direct reports through regular, timely feedback as well as the formal performance review process to ensure the delivery of exceptional services and the engagement, motivation, and development of the team.

Educational Requirements

  • University (Degree) Preferred

  • 5+ Years Required; 7+ Years Preferred

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years of management experience

  • 5+ years of experience in banking operations

  • 3+ years of banking disputes experience

  • Strong knowledge of Regulation-E/NACHA

Hybrid work is a minimum of four days a week, one flexible day for remote work.

Pay Range $87,400 to $118,200
