Mott MacDonald Group Project Manager - Environmental/ Geology in Iselin, New Jersey

Our Environmental team in Iselin, NJ is currently hiring for a Project Manager - Environmental/Geology to join our rapidly growing team. Qualified personnel should be capable of managing medium to large scale environmental projects with a wide variety of scope of services. Responsibilities include:

  • Project management activities including the oversight of personnel and project teams responsible for environmental site assessments of all phases in New York and New.
  • Provide project management support for projects, including but not limited to budgeting, forecasting, and scheduling, etc.
  • Provides basic mentoring, reference, oversight, and supervision for less-experienced geologists and scientists.
  • Preparing proposals, cost estimates, and staffing plans for environmental projects and services.
  • Reviews and analyzes a variety of data to determine requirements to meet geologic and engineering objectives.
  • Calculates cost and determines feasibility of project based on analysis of collected data.
  • Prepares or directs preparation and modification of environmental impact studies and reports, specifications, plans, and designs for project.
  • Originates and applies new and unique methods and procedures.
  • Prepares or directs preparation of reports and maps, interprets research data, and recommends further study or action.
  • Directs soil testing and groundwater monitoring and sampling.
  • Provides basic mentoring, reference, oversight, and supervision for less-experienced geologists and scientists.

Candidate Specification:

  • Candidates should possess a B.S. degree in in Geology or Environmental Science (or equivalent) with 8-12 years of experience in conducting site investigations and remediation at ISRA, RCRA, UST or CERCLA sites involving solid waste, soil and groundwater.
  • Candidates must have familiarity with soil, vapor and groundwater sampling, various drilling techniques, etc.
  • Candidates should have strong technical writing skills for preparation of regulatory reports.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil3d experience preferred.
  • Candidates should be familiar with federal, state, and county regulatory regulations.
  • Possession of current 40 hr OSHA Health & Safety training.
  • Candidates must pass a physical examination as a condition of employment for this position.
