Citigroup SVP, Regulatory Risk Sr Officer I (Hybrid) in Irving, Texas

The Franchise Risk Oversight function in the United States Personal Banking (USPB) Independent Risk organization is responsible for providing oversight and effective review & challenge of Risk Appetite and Limit Setting, the Risk ID process, Concentration Risk, Risk Weighted Asset and Capital Limit Setting Stress Loss exercises.

The Regulatory Risk Sr Officer will play a key role in implementing the Risk Appetite Framework (RAF) processes globally with the focus on enhancing Concentration Risk Framework and Control across Secured and Unsecured risk pools. The Regulatory Risk Officer will collaborate with key stakeholders in first and second lines (Business, Risk and Finance), and Enterprise Risk Management to help enhance monthly reports (Limits and Concentration risk), strengthen second line review and challenge documentation, and enhance control for second line on all responsibilities related to limits and concentration risk. This is an individual contributor role who leads hands-on analytics effort in Franchise Risk Oversight.

Responsibilities:

Be the subject matter expert on Concentration Risk and Limits and Threshold Management policy. Recommend enhancements to policies and procedures where necessary.

Build/enhance concentration risk framework, oversight, and reporting for the secured risk pool.

Establish and maintain governance procedure, process, and control documentation for Retail businesses consistent with Enterprise Risk policy and procedures.

Lead analytical research to prototype new approaches and identify improvement opportunities in the areas of Stress Loss Limits and Concentration Risk as part of second line review and challenge process.

Build and/or strengthen second line review and challenge process including enhancing approaches to documenting review and challenge. Create standards that all teams can follow.

Interface with a wide range of stakeholders to support efforts on Transformation.

Partners with Clients to understand and quickly respond to Client needs. Proactively seeks Client feedback to influence change throughout organization.

Establish and maintain governance procedure, process, and control documentation for Retail businesses consistent with Enterprise Risk policy and procedures.

Qualifications:

8+ years’ experience in Consumer and/or Wealth Management credit risk management or management of policies and control risk frameworks

Experience formulating risk management policy, procedure, and/or control framework.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to independently prepare presentations for an executive level audience and communicate complex concepts to a wide range of stakeholders.

Detailed-oriented with a high level of intellectual curiosity and strong sense of ownership

Strong interpersonal, relationship management and influence skills

Strong analytical skills with ability to understand and solve complex problems via practical analyses that will enable optimal decision making is a strong plus.

Experience interpreting regulatory guidance and working with regulators is a plus.

Knowledge of Loss Forecasting, CCAR, CECL, and Basel/RWA is a plus.

Knowledge of Citi products, risk processes and controls with good understanding of regulatory requirements and risk management framework is a plus.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s or other advanced Degree preferred with a quantitative or financial discipline
