Job Overview

Sanitation Supervisor

As a Sanitation Supervisor you are responsible for overall operating performance of the Keurig Dr Pepper processing operations. You will work with the team to streamline efficiency with emphasis on safety, quality, delivery, and improving financial results.

Shift & Schedule: This is a full time position on 1st shift working 5:00am to 2:00pm, Monday-Friday. Flexibility for additional coverage outside of these hours, including potential weekends and/or holidays, is also required as needed.

Position Responsibilities

  • Ensures a safe workplace is maintained and there is a safety mindset in all things we do.

  • Supervise sanitation / Micro lab crew.

  • Provides leadership and guidance to hourly Sanitation Coordinators, analysts, Byproducts Leads/team, Janitorial Lead/team, chemical supplier reps.

  • Monitors all weekly sanitation records for compliance and follows-up to ensure adherence to programs and established limits to ensure food safety.

  • Develops, participates, and reports on monthly plant KPI’s.

  • Oversees, tracks, and reports chemical usage and supply control programs to ensure proper levels of utilization and optimize costs.

  • Directs sanitation environmental control programs like clean equipment swabs, environmental monitoring, and pathogen testing.

  • Coordinates and conducts full sanitation audits including equipment tear downs to ensure effectiveness of equipment cleaning procedures.

  • Communicates closely with all functions and levels of the plant organization, including corporate quality, production, and sanitation.

  • Leads sanitation training for operators and maintenance.

  • Trains, develops, and maintains plant sanitation SOWI’s, sanitation programs and reports.

  • Hires, schedules, and supervises full-time staff and additional temporary staff.

  • Follows all policies, ergonomic standards and safety requirements directed by Keurig Dr Pepper and the department.

  • Oversees all process documentation and training program procedures to ensure consistency of operational tasks and the safety and cleanliness of the workplace

  • Ensures a quality product is being produced and all quality processes are being followed.

  • Works directly with Quality Control, Engineering, Maintenance, and Facilities on projects to improve quality, streamline efficiencies and reduce operating expenses

  • Tracks productivity for measured shift efficiency and improvement

  • Operates at or below the budgeted cost for production utilizing lean manufacturing procedures and cross-training

  • Oversees adherence to inventory control procedures to ensure inventory accuracy goals are constantly achieved

  • Performs timely quarterly and annual reviews for all front line Keurig Dr Pepper staff

  • Responsibility to report food safety, quality and regulatory compliance to plant or division personnel with authority to initiate action.

  • Responsible for ensuring the production of a safe, wholesome and quality product and requires trained designees when applicable

  • Performs other duties as requested by management

  • Compensation: This is an exempt, salaried position paid on a biweekly cycle. Compensation is flexible and determined by the candidate's experience level.

Requirements

  • 1 year of leadership experience in either a lead, supervisory, or managerial role in a production environment.

  • 2 years of supervisory experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment.

  • 2 years of experience working with quality management systems, lab instrumentations, sanitation, or quality assurance in a manufacturing environment.

  • CIP process experience highly preferred

  • Experience with the food, beverage, pharmaceutical or chemical industry preferred.

  • Food safety certifications highly preferred.

  • Understanding of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and/or Lean Six Sigma manufacturing practices highly preferred.
