We are currently looking for a Senior Product Development (PD) Program Manager to join our Neurovascular Operating Unit in Irvine, California. Be a part of engineering a comprehensive portfolio of proven, powerful neurovascular technologies, setting the highest standards of integrity and reliability in Acute Ischemic and Hemorrhagic Stroke Care. This will be a hybrid position with at least 3 days per week required onsite.

A Day in the Life

As a Senior PD Program Manager, you will be responsible for achieving successful implementation of projects and managing all activities required to define, design, develop and deliver new Neurovascular products or therapies to Medtronic customers. You will provide direction and leadership to a cross-functional program development team including members with expertise from all areas involved in product commercialization. You will plan and execute new product development projects utilizing project management methodology from concept to launch.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Lead a high-performing New Product Development engineering team focusing on development of next generation technologies for Neurovascular therapies

  • Lead multiple projects that meet business and product objectives

  • Work cooperatively at all levels in matrix environment to build and maintain the positive relationships required to accomplish organizational goals

  • Lead within complex organizations using your strong influence management skills

  • Negotiate and balance decisions and priorities across needs of several functional departments. Making timely decisions in the face of risk and uncertainty.

  • Drive development activities through both internal and external capabilities

  • Provide technical expertise for product development programs

  • Travel (Domestic and International) < 25 % of the time

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering a related technical discipline required

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience

Nice to Have

  • 15+years of prior relevant experience with bachelor’s degree or 13+ years of prior relevant experience with master’s degree

  • Experience in neurovascular product development

  • Medical device development experience

  • Lean six sigma methodology / DFSS / DRM

  • Experience leading and managing teams

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

The provided base salary range is used nationally (except in certain CA locations). The rate offered is compliant with federal/local regulations and may vary by experience, certification/education, market conditions, location, etc.
