Track Services Supervisor - Inman, SC

About Us:

Since 1987, Road & Rail Services has been a trusted provider of rail-related services across North America. Specializing in plant and terminal operations, track maintenance, and asset management, we take pride in our commitment to safety, efficiency, and operational excellence. As we continue to expand, we are looking for dedicated professionals to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Track Services Supervisor to oversee daily track maintenance operations and lead a team of track workers and equipment operators. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong background in railroad track maintenance, heavy equipment operation, and team leadership. The Track Services Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring all work is completed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Track Services Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing railroad tracks while leading a team of workers. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include coordinating track maintenance activities, monitoring job progress, and ensuring that all work is performed according to company and industry standards. You will also be responsible for training and mentoring your team, ensuring they are well-equipped to perform their duties safely and effectively. Equipment operation will be a key part of your role, including overseeing the use of track machinery for rail cutting, material handling, and track alignment.

Safety leadership is a fundamental aspect of this position. You will conduct safety briefings, enforce compliance with OSHA, FRA, EPA, and DOT regulations, and identify potential hazards before they become issues. Additionally, you will work closely with upper management to plan projects, allocate resources, and troubleshoot any challenges that arise in the field.

What We're Looking For:

We need a leader who thrives in physically demanding environments and has a hands-on approach to problem-solving. Prior experience in railroad track maintenance or a similar labor-intensive industry is required, along with a demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a team. Strong communication skills, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to operate and oversee heavy equipment usage are essential. Candidates must also have a valid driver's license and be available for on-call duties as needed.

Why Choose Road & Rail Services?

We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and a 401(k) retirement plan. Our employees receive paid holidays, vacation time, and an annual steel-toe boot allowance. We provide all necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) and are committed to developing our employees by promoting from within whenever possible.

Important Considerations:

This is an outdoor position that requires working in all weather conditions, sometimes at elevated heights. Because rail operations run around the clock, candidates must be available for on-call responsibilities, including weekends and after-hours emergencies. We are looking for individuals who are serious about a long-term career in the rail industry and are dedicated to operational excellence and safety.

Ready to Lead a Team That Keeps Railroads Running?

If you have experience in railroad maintenance, track services, or heavy equipment operation and are ready to step into a leadership role, we want to hear from you. Apply today to join Road & Rail Services and be part of a team that values expertise, dedication, and hard work.
