Job Title: Electro-Mechanical Assembler

Job Description

As an Electro-Mechanical Assembler, you will configure RF power amplifiers and perform mechanical box assembly of RF boards and RF connectors. You will be involved in cable assembly on shielded cables, ribbon cables, and wire harnesses, and primarily work on assembling printed circuit boards, soldering on PCBs, modules, chassis, and cable harnesses. You will also be responsible for ribbon cable preparation and termination, as well as stripping, tinning, and termination of wire harnesses.

Responsibilities

  • Configure RF power amplifiers and perform complex box build assemblies (2U, 3U, 5U).

  • Assemble RF boards, mechanical boxes, and RF connectors.

  • Work with coaxial transformers, ferrites, and RF-related passive components.

  • Assemble electrical harnesses and RF coaxial cables, electrical wiring, and perform soldering.

  • Interpret wire lists, block diagrams, and rough sketches for assembly.

  • Perform cable assembly operations on shielded cables, ribbon cables, and wire harnesses.

  • Assemble printed circuit boards, modules, chassis, and cable harnesses.

  • Prepare and terminate ribbon cables.

  • Strip, tin, and terminate wire harnesses.

  • Utilize soldering iron, wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, and power tools.

  • Read and understand assembly drawings, parts lists (BOM), wiring diagrams, and wiring lists.

  • Understand part numbers, polarity designations, color codes, etc.

  • Perform quality inspections and read E-Drawings.

  • Utilize Vantage MRP System and Configuration Control practices.

  • Assist with MRP entry and ECR process.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in RF board and mechanical box assembly, and RF connectors.

  • Proficiency with coaxial transformers, ferrites, and RF-related passive components.

  • Ability to assemble electrical harnesses and RF coaxial cables, and perform electrical wiring and soldering.

  • Proficiency in soldering and interpreting wire lists, block diagrams, and rough sketches.

  • Experience in cable assembly operations on shielded cables, ribbon cables, and wire harnesses.

  • Ability to assemble printed circuit boards, modules, chassis, and cable harnesses.

  • Experience in ribbon cable preparation and termination.

  • Proficiency in stripping, tinning, and terminating wire harnesses.

  • Proficiency in using soldering iron, wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, and power tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Training in IPC-A-610/620 CIS certification or equivalent.

  • Ability to read and understand assembly drawings, parts lists (BOM), wiring diagrams, and wiring lists.

  • Understanding of part numbers, polarity designations, color codes, etc.

  • Experience with quality inspections and reading E-Drawings.

  • Experience utilizing Vantage MRP System and Configuration Control practices.

  • Experience with MRP entry and ECR process.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $39520.00 - $45760.00/yr.
