    Salary:

    This position traditionally starts at an annual salary of $75,010. Salary for this position may be commensurate with education and job experience.

    Role Overview:

    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our IT Project Outcomes Management Team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing our IT department's project portfolio by overseeing IT projects across various educational programs and initiatives.

    These skills are highly desired:

  • PMP training or Certification

  • Knowledge of educational systems

  • Agile and Waterfall methodologies

  • PowerBI and Microsoft platforms

A Day in the Life:

The essential functions of this role are as follows:

  • Lead and manage a portfolio of projects, from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with departmental goals and objectives.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring clear communication and alignment with organizational priorities.

  • Develop detailed project plans, including schedules, resource allocation, risk management, and communication strategies.

  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement corrective actions as needed to ensure successful project delivery.

  • Conduct regular project reviews and status updates, providing timely reporting to stakeholders and senior management.

  • Facilitate collaboration and communication among project team members, stakeholders, and external partners.

  • Utilize business analysis techniques to gather and analyze requirements, identify process improvements, and drive organizational change.

  • Stay informed of industry best practices, emerging trends, and relevant regulations in project management and education policy.

What You'll Need for Success:

You must meet the following requirements to be considered for employment:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Education, or related field. Master's degree preferred.

  • 3-5 years of experience in project management, preferably within a state agency or education-related organization.

  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.

  • Experience in business analysis, including requirements gathering, process mapping, and stakeholder engagement.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

  • PMP certification is preferred but not required.

  • Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, Trello).

  • Flexibility to work in a hybrid remote environment, with the ability to collaborate effectively both in-person and virtually.

Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports:

This role may serve as a team lead for an assigned work group.
