POSITION PURPOSE
Support Line Pilot Instructor, Line Check Airmen and Proficiency Check airmen: onboarding, training scheduling, training oversight/auditing, FAA coordination, monthly Instructor and Evaluator (IE) pay review & approvals, IE qualification management, IE conference meeting scheduling, logistics and facility coordination.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Manages the application process for all Instructor/Evaluator (IE) applicants. Including, verifying regulatory qualifications of applicants, compiling all data for review, soliciting departmental and line crew feedback and administers IE interviews through virtual interview software.
Coordinates new IE classes monthly (when needed). Including, reserving meeting space and catering at training center, ensuring training logistics for out-of-town IE candidates, facilities, needed access with IT, and compiling and uploading FAA packages, as required for new Check Airmen.
Responsible for interfacing with the FAA for Check Airmen authorizations, approvals, and monthly Check Airmen surveillance reports.
Tracks initial training for IE groups, ensuring that regulatory required qualification events are being completed and updating sign offs for completed trainees to release them to training in a timely manner.
Audits recurrent training events for IE groups to ensure that requirements are being met and regulatory compliance is maintained.
Analyzes monthly training resource allocation and compiles schedule pulls and pre-awards based on the number of resources needed.
Manage Check Airmen schedule change approvals for drops, adds and overtime. Updates CrewTrac for all schedule absences.
Coordinates annual IE meetings, locations, and associated logistics.
Audits and suggests corrections for IE pay submissions and compares to initial, final and CrewTrac schedules to ensure accuracy.
Manages all monthly pay for Simulator Check Airmen, Line Pilot Instructor and Line Check Airmen groups on an individual basis and transmits approved pay information to Crew Pay.
Provides excellent and timely customer service to Check Airmen and Instructors by responding to questions while maintaining a positive and upbeat attitude.
Responsible for Flight Operations logistics needs.
Performs other duties as assigned or required.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or GED
At least one year airline experience
PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Prior experience in training department
Prior experience with CrewTrac
REGULATORY
Able to pass an FAA required 10 year work history review and criminal background and fingerprint checks.
Possess and maintain a valid US passport or foreign passport.
Authorized by law to work in the United States and able to travel in and out of the United States.
Willing to submit to and able to pass FAA and Company mandated random drug and alcohol tests.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write general correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to Flight Management, Check Airmen and Instructors. Able to deliver negative information in a tactful and professional manner.
REASONING/PROBLEM SOLVING ABILITY
Possess strong analytical skills. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving many concrete variables in critical situations. Able to deal with conflict effectively while treating all employees with respect.
