WSP USA Consultant, Structural Engineer in Indianapolis, Indiana

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Bridge Task Lead for our Indianapolis office.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform bridge related computations and analysis, mentor staff in bridge related computation and analysis

  • Interface with clients and perform deputy project management tasks, perform staff augment project manager as part of client augment projects

  • Design Lead for bridge tasks

  • Prepare and check design plans, cost estimates and special provisions

  • Collect data, gather information, produce and check documents and reports

  • Check design computations and train younger staff

  • Attend design meetings and coordinate with team members

  • Develop memorandums and other written technical documents

  • And other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering

  • Good technical writing, analytical and communication skills

  • Detail-oriented with an emphasis on quality work products

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer or intent to obtain within 1-2 years

  • MS in Civil Engineering

  • Engineering experience in Bridge Design

  • Proficiency in MicroStation and/or AutoCAD
