Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Indianapolis, Indiana

Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in Indianapolis, Indiana. This role is primarily concerned with the management and processing of accounts payable in a construction context, making it a crucial part of our financial operations.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the processing of accounts payable, ensuring timely and accurate management of all invoices

• Reconcile account balances, identifying and resolving any discrepancies in the process

• Process check runs to ensure timely payment of invoices

• Utilize Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to manage and process financial data

• Maintain a thorough, organized record of all accounts payable data

• Engage in coding invoices, ensuring each invoice is accurately categorized for accounting purposes

• Handle data entry tasks, inputting financial data into our systems with a high level of accuracy

• Work Monday to Friday, from 8am to 5pm, ensuring consistent coverage of accounts payable tasks

• Prioritize customer service, addressing any inquiries or issues related to accounts payable

• Draw upon construction and job costing experience to provide informed, effective accounts payable services. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) procedures and operations

• Ability to perform Account Reconciliation tasks efficiently

• Experience with Check Runs

• Knowledge of Coding Invoices

• Proficient in Data Entry tasks

• Familiarity with Invoice Processing

• Competence in using Microsoft Excel for financial tasks

• Familiarity with Oracle for financial management

• Proficiency in using QuickBooks for accounting tasks

• Knowledge of SAP for business operations and customer relations

• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Willingness to stay updated with latest industry trends and changes in regulations

• Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
