ECS Midwest, LLC Subsidiary HR Operations & Safety Manager in Independence, Ohio
What You'll Do Manage all administrative functions of the Subsidiary include maintaining accounting, human resources and other duties as assigned. Manage HR and Accounting for Subsidiary Employees. Process payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable. Process new hire, termination, and employment verification paperwork. Track immigration status. Process benefits (including new enrollments, open enrollment and update as required). Assist with warning reports and disciplinary actions. Assist employees with processing leave of absence and short-term disability claims. Process and track worker's compensation claims and maintain OSHA records. Assist with other HR issues as needed. Maintain and update certificates of insurance. Responsible for ordering and support for computers, phones, and other devices. Support administrative management of the office. Track and update professional licenses. Support Subsidiary Executives and Management Group with special projects, reports, meetings, and training. Manage administrative duties of offices without HR and accounting support. Manage administrative duties of offices while Administrator is on PTO or other leave. Train and support subsidiary office administrators. Develop subsidiary training program for HR and accounting personnel with assistance from Corporate Services. Establish procedures and protocols for regional and office Profit and Loss. Attend and participate with monthly management group meetings. Travel to subsidiary offices to provide support and training. Provide leadership and expertise in the role of Subsidiary Safety Manger Work with Branch level Safety Officers and the Director of Corporate Safety to implement the Corporate Safety plan at the Subsidiary level Responsible for the implementation of the ECS safety program Support Subsidiary Management and Local Offices in development of Safe Work Plans (AHAs, JHA, JSA). Conduct training classes. Conduct periodic site visits to offices and project sites to monitor and assess implementation of the ECS Safety Program Ensure assigned local offices actively participate in processes required by the corporate safety program Review incident investigations and/or conduct more detailed investigations when necessary Assist Branch Safety Managers in Root Cause Analysis done in accordance with the Safety Incident Analysis Reporting process. Work closely with Corporate Workers Comp Claim Coordinator on incidents and workers comp claims. Provide training support to Branch Safety Manager' duties, review annual performance, and recommend areas for improvement Attend OSHA and other citation hearings and along with operations management, will provide consultation on process and support ways to limit company losses Work with Corporate/Regional Management to ensure safety goals and objectives are aligned with ECS' Corporate Safety program Ensure that Subsidiary management is apprised of and updated on all serious incidents that require medical treatment beyond basic first aid Prepare and present to Subsidiary and Corporate management a monthly safety summary report that summarize safety incidents, observations, audits, and training in their Subsidiary. Attend professional development and educational seminars and conferences related to safety as assigned by Corporate Services. May require overnight travel. Perform other duties related to loss prevention and employee safety as assigned. Provide assessment of Branch-level safety related activities (e.g., compliance with employee training, monthly safety meetings, safety audits, etc., as required by Corporate and Subsidiary level policies) Make periodic visits to office locations and project sites to assess compliance with Corporate and Subsidiary safety policy Provide guidance to local Safety Managers during the documentation, investigation, and analysis proces
