Job Description

* Builds operating systems from available software frameworks;

* Customizes operating systems for product-specific roles;

* Provides evaluation of hardware for operating system utilization;

* Provides customization of operating system for specific hardware utilization;

* Designs software components in operating system specialization;

* Implements software components in operating system specialization;

* Maintains software components in operating system specialization, including testing and validation;

* Designs and implements back office infrastructure techniques;

* Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Skills and Requirements

* 7+ years of software development experience

* Experience with Rust (a multi-paradigm, general-purpose programming language that emphasizes performance, type safety, and concurrency)

* Bachelor's degree in IT-related field with a specialization as a software developer with functional cross-domain skills in working with hardware engineering

* Skills:

o Designing and implementing software using best practices.

o Familiarity with embedded devices and hardware specifics.

o Ability to work with hardware schematics and data sheets.

o Understanding of security compliance.

o Collaboration with stakeholders on design and implementation.

o Reading and modifying code written by others.

o Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).

* Must be a team player, collaborator, strong communicator, and evening willingness to mentor. * Proficiency: C, C++, C#, and Python for software development.

* Full Development Life Cycle: Requirements, design, development, board bring-up, and product support.

* Software Engineering Best Practices: Estimation, design, unit, and system testing.

* Container Technologies: Experience with Docker, Containerd, or VM.

* Communication Protocols: Familiarity with TCP/IP, CAN, and serial bus.

* Agile Experience: In structured development environments (DO 178C, ISO 26262, IEC 61508).

* Media Libraries: Knowledge of Matroska, Live555, or other media containers/RTP/RTSP.

* Cloud Services: Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms. null
