Every aspect of Amazon depends on our systems to know who the customer is; In order to shop, stream, or consume any of Amazon’s offerings the customer comes through us first. We’re searching for an engineering leader. You’ll write exemplary code that makes it easy for the next person to do what’s right, and impacts engineers well beyond your own team. You’ll use your expertise to drive your team to deliver to your high standards. Our services host authentication for all of Amazon, you'll make sure we build those services right and think big about the future. You're responsible for your teams growth. You'll mentor peers, and help them become better engineers.

We collaborate across disciplines. You will have the opportunity to work closely with product managers, UX designers and researchers, and business intelligence engineers to innovate, measure, analyze and refine the experiences we deliver to millions of customers across the planet on a daily basis. Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience

• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
