These systems, invisible to the customer, work seamlessly across the billions of transactions occurring simultaneously around the world. We are pioneering new techniques to detect and neutralize bad actors that attempt to abuse our policies. Buyer Abuse designs and builds high performance software systems using machine learning to identify and prevent abusive transactions. Abuse risk mining is a team within buyer abuse, which combines analytics along with human insights to identify Policy Abuses, enforce bad actors and prevent further leakages in the form of concessions abuse. Team plays a critical role in reducing concession leakages, providing operational insights into key drivers through deep dives and investigations on system and manual misses. We continuously work with stakeholders to build trust-based relationships in order to investigate Abuse cases and address escalations while creating long-term, systemic solutions for a world-class Customer experience.

Abuse risk mining is looking for a Sr. program manager to deliver risk solutions in support of assessing and preventing concession abuse. These solutions will proactively seek out threats and vulnerabilities associated with concession abuse. In this role, you will be responsible for building both tactical and strategic solutions. You will work with a variety of stakeholders to identify issues and develop effective solutions. In doing so, you will be central in protecting our customers. We are looking for someone with a diverse background and experience managing solutions that require partnerships with both technical and non-technical personnel to complete complex initiatives. You have performed investigations, intelligence gathering, or similar research and testing to uncover threats and vulnerabilities. You must be able to prioritize well, communicate clearly, and have a consistent track record of delivery. You must have the ability to deal with ambiguity and think big, while utilizing data to drive business decisions. You are always looking for ways to innovate and operate more efficiently, and able to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. You will build internal and external partnerships to drive the program’s success. You will need to influence global stakeholders, both internal and external, using data to influence and drive business decisions across the enterprise.

Key job responsibilities

Partner with stakeholders from core business and operations teams to define and implement new strategies to improve buyer risk metrics and performance.

· Develop scalable change management strategies and plans to support the implementation of program changes and lead continuous improvement initiatives.

· Communicate, both verbally and in writing, program successes, failures, lessons learned and mitigation plans to stakeholders.

· Lead projects for cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of a new feature, service, product, or system. Gather business requirements, document functional and design specifications, identify appropriate resources needed, assemble the right project team, assign individual responsibilities, and develop the milestones and launch schedule to ensure timely and successful delivery of the project. Program Managers contribute cross-functional business and technical skills, assess and manage risks, measure and report on progress, anticipate and resolve bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs with the technical constraints.

A day in the life

As a Sr Program Manager, you will own abuse detection goals and reduction of abusive leakages. This is a high visibility role with the leadership teams, requiring good stakeholder management skills. You will need to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, cross functional teams and within and outside of buyer abuse to deep dive and solve problems. You will identify opportunities to block bad actors through the use of business intelligence and data mining, create operational efficiencies and deliver successfully against high organizational standards.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • 5+ years of delivering cross functional projects experience

  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
