Oracle Software Development Manager in HYDERABAD, India

Job Description

As a manager of the software engineering division, you will apply your knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture.As a manager at Oracle Construction & Engineering GBU product development organization, you will be responsible for end to end ownership of the product, along with responsibilities for design and develop features. You'll join a fast paced and growing SCRUM team to build the best solutions available in the construction industry.

Since 2009, our team has built and maintained a SaaS solution for contractors and construction companies to manage their projects.

We are we're looking for hands on leader with a proven track record of building Enterprise applications which should be secure, scalable, highly available applications in multiple technologies and languages working on a highly collaborative SCRUM team.

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Our Managers should be people’s leader with expertise in design, develop, troubleshoot and maintain cloud hosted SaaS applications and web services.

As a member of the Aconex team at Oracle, you will apply your knowledge to architect, develop and implement SaaS features as defined by our product roadmap while continually refactoring to update/improve our architecture and managing technical debt.

As a key member of this team, you will be expected to:

o Thought leadership on architecture and technical directives

o Mentoring for peers of all experience levels

o Collaboration with all levels of IT and business

Typical responsibilities include: * demonstrate and promote individual and team ownership in application/sprintimplementing features in web pages, web application and application server (API) utilizing Java, Unit testing, SQL, bootstrap, JavaScript, react.js, HTML and CSS *participating in security reviews remediation activities* working closely with your team of developers and testers * investigating reported bugs * writing documentation* learning and applying new technology * helping code review changes * mentoring * improving the design and architecture of Aconex * leading team members

A candidate should have:

• a solid understanding of software development roles, processes and procedures.

• familiarity with agile/SCRUM software methodology

• above average problem solving with little oversight

• good communication skills as well as a positive attitude and a drive to mentor as well as to learn.

• a BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area.

• At least 5 years of software engineering or related experience.

We believe that our tech stack is easy to pick up but experience with the following will help you hit the ground running:

• Java, SQL (PL)

• Web Development: JavaScript/framework (bootstrap, Angular or React) CSS, HTML, HTTP, REST, AJAX

• Cloud implementations

• Experience in TDD

• Automated Builds (Jenkins, Chef, Ant, Maven and/or Puppet)

• Optimizing performance in java, APIs and/or SQL

• Experience building RESTful web services/APIs

• Experience designing web applications (MVC, MVVM)

• Experience mentoring other developers
