Job Description

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc. As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 5 years of software engineering or related experience.

Responsibilities

We are looking for an expert SaaS engineer to join the Fusion Applications Technical Architecture team for delivering our next generation cloud native applications platform running in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). . You will be responsible for defining the architecture, standards and best practices for how Fusion Applications developers will move away from an architecture that relies on reliable, ACID transactions running on a single monolithic database to an architecture that provides performant and resilient processes based on a micro-service architecture with distributed databases and BASE transactions. You will be responsible for identifying and building the infrastructure needed to support this transition.This is a wonderful opportunity to work with a team of seasoned architects who are ready to take on this challenge.   • Proven track record of delivering, deploying, and managing secure business services that are continuously available using cloud native infrastructure

  • Creative thinking and hands on development of enterprise scalable asynchronous REST services using the latest JDK optimized patterns

  • Passionate about building innovative enterprise applications with the understanding that Oracle Application tools and services must be rock solid from testing, resiliency, and security perspective. Our customers are betting their businesses on our commitment to quality, performance, testing, and security.

  • Teamwork is key here. We are looking for developers who believe in the value of cross team collaboration, code reviews, test case analysis, and defect reviews. It’s all about continuously learning and improving.

Candidate Profile:

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or related fields with 5+ years of professional JAVA and J2EE development experience

  • 3+ years experience with cloud native infrastructure and management tools

  • Experience working in an agile development environment

  • Experience with implementation and a strong working knowledge of Cloud design patterns (e.g; Scheduler Agent Supervisor, Compensating Transaction, Event Sourcing, Pipes and Filters, SAGA distributed transactions, Pub/Sub etc)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear, concise manner to all audiences

  • Enterprise application domain knowledge preferred

  • Familiarity with open source tools and integration
