Building off our Cloud momentum, Oracle has formed a new organization for Public Admin and Public Safety Suite of SaaS software. This team focuses on product development and product strategy while building out a complete suite of SaaS software. This is a net new line of business, constructed with an entrepreneurial spirit that promotes an energetic and creative environment.

We are looking for hands-on engineers with expertise and passion in solving difficult problems in all areas of software engineering: distributed systems, identity, security, observability, and user experience.

This is a greenfield opportunity to design and build new cloud native SaaS services from the ground up. We are growing fast, still at an early stage, and working on ambitious new initiatives. An engineer at any level can have significant technical and business impact here. Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Senior iOS/Android Developer who shares our passion and excitement to design, develop and operate SaaS services using cloud native best practices.

As a SMTS in our team, you’ll be responsible and lead efforts in designing and building scalable, distributed, and resilient software components and services to support Public Safety Suite of applications, and our end users. We believe in ownership and expect you to think long term, mentor, and empower other engineers. As a tech lead, you will own the complete SDLC from design, development, testing, production rollout and operational support.

Responsibilities

Job Requirements

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with experience interacting across business and engineering teams at all levels.

  • Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills with the ability to balance competing priorities.

  • Deep understanding of mobile app development lifecycles , including native development for iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin/Java) .

  • Experience with mobile security best practices, UI/UX principles, and performance optimization .

  • Ability to evaluate product performance metrics, diagnose issues, and drive improvements in mobile applications.

  • Expertise in RESTful APIs, GraphQL, WebSockets , and integrating with backend cloud services.

  • Hands-on experience in building, deploying, and maintaining mobile applications at scale .

  • Ability to lead technical design discussions, document trade-offs, and mentor junior engineers .

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments , with knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for mobile apps .

  • Comfortable working across geographies and engaging with distributed teams.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience .

  • 5+ years of experience in mobile application development , including 2+ years of experience building scalable, cloud-integrated mobile solutions .

  • Strong iOS (Swift, SwiftUI) and Android (Kotlin, Jetpack Compose) development experience.

  • Experience with mobile frameworks, SDKs, push notifications, background processing, and offline storage .

  • Understanding of design patterns (MVVM, Clean Architecture) and best practices for mobile app development.

  • Experience with containerized development (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud-based services (OCI, AWS, GCP, Azure) .

  • Knowledge of modern JavaScript libraries (React Native, Flutter) is a plus.

  • Strong desire to solve real-world challenges and build solutions that impact public safety.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of high-performance iOS and Android applications .

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, develop, and implement mobile-first solutions for public safety.

  • Build mobile apps that integrate with cloud services, real-time data streaming, and edge computing platforms .

  • Develop and optimize mobile UI/UX to ensure intuitive and seamless user experiences.

  • Drive best engineering and operational practices, ensuring high code quality, testability, and security .

  • Define and evolve best practices for mobile development , mentoring team members and influencing architecture decisions.

  • Participate in the full mobile software development lifecycle —from requirements gathering and design to development, testing, and deployment.

  • Work closely with DevOps to improve CI/CD automation, mobile testing, and release management .

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in security, performance, and accessibility.
