As the Capability Owner for the Sales Enablement Systems (SES) Global Center of Excellence, you will manage and execute projects, collaborate with stakeholders worldwide, and ensure successful Salesforce implementations. This role requires robust experience with Salesforce, along with the ability to effectively work with cross-functional teams and manage projects from start to finish.

A Day in the Life

As a Global Commercial Training Instructional Designer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and developing comprehensive training programs tailored to the needs of commercial teams across various regions and markets. This role demands a deep understanding of instructional design principles, adult learning theory, and commercial operations. You will collaborate closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to create engaging and effective learning experiences that drive performance and align with organizational objectives.

Curriculum Development: Design and develop comprehensive training curricula for commercial teams worldwide, covering areas such as sales techniques, product knowledge, market insights, customer relationship management, and negotiation skills.

Instructional Design: Apply instructional design principles to create engaging and interactive learning experiences, incorporating a variety of delivery methods such as e-learning modules, instructor-led training, simulations, videos, and job aids.

Needs Analysis: Conduct needs assessments to identify knowledge and skill gaps within commercial teams, collaborating with stakeholders to determine training priorities and objectives.

Content Creation: Develop high-quality training materials, including presentations, training manuals, scripts, and multimedia assets, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and consistency across all resources.

Technology Integration: Utilize learning management systems (LMS) and other technology platforms to deliver and track training programs, leveraging innovative tools and techniques to enhance learning outcomes.

Evaluation and Assessment: Implement evaluation strategies to measure the effectiveness of training initiatives, collecting feedback from participants and stakeholders to continuously improve and refine content and delivery methods.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Partner with internal stakeholders, including sales leaders, product managers, marketing teams, and HR professionals, to align training initiatives with business goals and priorities.

Global Coordination: Coordinate training efforts across multiple regions and time zones, ensuring consistency in content and delivery while accommodating cultural and linguistic differences.

Compliance and Quality Assurance : Ensure that training materials and programs comply with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and organizational policies, conducting regular reviews and updates as needed.

Professional Development: Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in instructional design and commercial training, continuously enhancing your own skills and knowledge to drive innovation and excellence in training delivery.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in instructional design, education, business, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in instructional design, preferably in a global commercial or corporate training environment.

  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM), and learning management systems.

  • Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) and multimedia production software.

  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Analytical mindset, with the ability to conduct needs assessments, analyze data, and evaluate training effectiveness.

  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a global team.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of commercial operations, sales methodologies, and market dynamics is a plus.

  • Certification in instructional design or training (e.g., CPLP, CPTD) is desirable.
