AGILE PROJECT MANAGER

Job Description

Key Qualifications:

  • Solid understanding of Product & Software development life cycle (PDLC/SDLC) models as well as expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment.

  • Understanding of Go To Market frameworks to help Product teams during the project to integrate with PDLC/SDLC

  • Understanding of Scaled Agile framework, Release train engineer role and activities: coordinating ART (technical) teams from a product standpoint to help ensure that multiple teams working on the same release product and features plan, identifying, and managing risks, facilitating release planning meetings, supporting the scrum of scrums, and resolving and escalating impediments.

  • A goal driven servant leader has a collaborative team-player attitude.

  • A proven track record of successfully implementing software or web development projects using Agile methodologies including experience as a Program/Project Manager managing large, complex projects in a high-tech development environment with multi-function teams. PMP preferred.

  • Balanced business/technical background:

  • Understanding of GenAI & AI

  • Sufficient level of technical background to provide highly credible leadership to development teams and to be able to evaluate complex project risks and issues accurately and objectively.

  • Ability to provide leadership to business analysts and collaborate with customers and develop strategies and solutions of high business value.

*Responsibilities: *

Strategy & Operations

  • Strategy – Support Portfolio stakeholders and Product team to identify and evaluate new strategic opportunities and growth initiatives.

  • Opportunity Evaluation - evaluating new ideas, assessing addressable market, transforming ideas into specific projects, development of project plans, allocation/prioritization of resources and monitoring progress.

  • Special projects – Oversees strategic projects from development through successful execution in partnership with senior leadership.

  • Business analyses – Work with Product and Project stakeholders to conducts analysis and connect and interplay specific needs with applicable interdependencies across the Division and Enterprise

  • Operations management and growth initiative with applicable interdependencies, including :

  • Manages day-to-day operations, actions, and prepare and organize content for senior leadership and stakeholders’ engagements.

  • Create content and stakeholder communications including summaries, written articles, speeches, memos, briefings, PowerPoint presentations and Excel analyses.

  • C ommunications – Helps drive relevant communication agenda preparing content for key audiences including Steerco and Senior leadership team.

  • Create executive summary of milestones, financial, project status metrics and major risks/impediments to be reviewed with Business Lines and Management Committee.

Stakeholder Relationships

  • Cultivates relationships with Business and Product Build stakeholders to drive agenda and strategic priorities and ensure alignment across key stakeholders.

  • Partners with Finance to model and to define revenue and expenses for specific initiatives and new projects.

  • Partners with other Business functional areas (Sales, Marketing, Commercial & Legal) as needed.

  • Participates in relevant committees and communities as appropriate.

  • Ensures meetings are well prepared and documented before, during and after sessions.

Financial

  • Tracks overall fiscal budget, resource utilization and financial key metrics for specific initiatives or projects.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or master’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum 10 years of Project Management/Program Management

  • Minimum 5 years of management function within SAFe framework

  • A thorough understanding of roles and responsibilities within ART and teams across.

  • Business partnering skills – builds and creates rapport across multiple functions in a matrixed environment and can navigate diverse culture and influence stakeholders globally.

  • Excellent communication skills in English – verbal, written, and executive presentations. This person should be able to communicate directly and achieve buy-in across a variety of stakeholders on the most effective path forward.

  • Ability to problem solve and prioritize, identify root causes of obstacles, and address fundamental issues.

  • Ability to synthesize technical and non-technical details from different teams and determine which information is most relevant for customers.

  • Ability to quickly collect, organize and analyze structured and unstructured data from different sources and in different formats to deliver useful insights.

  • Excellent organization, program, and process management skills

  • Experience leading multiple projects or workstreams to execute and deliver results on time and on target.

  • Manage and work objectively with Confidential information.

  • Open to explore new ideas, approaches, and challenges.

  • Commodities and energy industry knowledge a plus.

  • Competent with systems (MS Office Tools, Data Analytics and BI Tools)

  • Travel may be required and the ability to adjust to other time zones.

  • Licensing or Certifications for Release Train Engineer

  • List any licenses or certifications required by the position: SPC, SA, RTE, SASM, CSM, CSPO, SAFE, CSP, PM, PO. SAFe

  • Desired skills for release train engineer include:

  • Scrum

  • Kanban

  • Lean

  • XP

  • SAFe structure and theories

  • Multiple Agile delivery frameworks

  • Compliance and risk management frameworks

  • Conflict resolution
