As an ETL Tester (SDET), candidate will be predominantly involved in creating test strategy and automation solutions for validating large data platforms or data interfaces/workloads on both Azure and On-Premise environments. The successful candidate will be a primary contributor in developing test solutions and framework for optimization and supporting all types of applications testing on Azure cloud and established standard operating procedures, and methodologies to deliver business value. This is more than a challenging role with primary focus on developing test solutions and capabilities for Azure cloud migration and data management workloads.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Working with various product and implementation teams; develop test strategy/test plans and test solutions to implement such strategies/plans. This includes automation requirements for different products and applications across the enterprise landscape

• Understand the complex Data Model, architecture and Source to Target mapping and to create efficient test approach and test scripting by writing Complex SQL queries.

• Able to develop automated test solutions and frameworks for Data conversion/ETL and Data interfaces or any data related workloads

• Understand complex data models across the application landscape to design, develop and provision test data as per test data requests

• Identify the Process Gaps and technical debt and come up with the strategies and solutions for improvements, focusing on standardization and Automation

• Problem solving techniques & Interpersonal skills

• Provide Support in for Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery

• You will be involved in solving moderately complex problems and/or conduct moderately complex analysis

• Demonstrate experience in supporting team members in providing the technical or business-related solutions and guiding them to complete the tasks on time

• You will provide explanation and information to others including Senior Leadership on challenging issues and recommend solution to solve them

• You will maintain awareness of current technology assets, and the applicability and capability of each

Required Qualifications:

• At least 6 + years of experience as SDET primarily in developing and testing of ETL/Data conversion and data related work loads

• Implementation experience for testing workloads migrated from On-premise to Azure Cloud along with test estate and tools etc

• Knowledge and understanding of complex data ingestion/data integration patterns – Both Batch and Real time patterns

• Solid understanding on commonly used test design patterns to validation data ingestion and integration patterns for batch and Real time

• Hands on Development and Scripting Experience using Python/Spark.

• Should be aware of Azure Data Factory, Databricks environments and Snowflake.

• Data testing experience, ability to write complex SQL Queries to on relational and Non-Relational databases

• Managing Code repositories (Git Actions/Azure Pipelines), implementing Continuous testing tool (Git Actions/Azure Pipelines)

• Ability to identify opportunities to improve and communicate effectively to improve the capabilities

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with ETL, Data warehouse and Big data testing

• Experience with Azure Data services and Azure DevOps

• Experience working on Snowflake data platform and understanding it intricacies

• Working knowledge of Relational/ NoSQL/Azure Databases

• Any relevant industry certifications (Azure Fundamentals AZ 900 certification or any)

• Automation experience using Java/.Net/Python with solid SQL Skills
