Amergis Staffing iscurrently seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RN) for Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) assignmentsin Hyannis, MA !

Position Details:

Contract Length: 13 weeks (+ability toextend)

Number of Openings: 5

Start Date: biweekly orientations starting 4/7

Hours/Shifts/Schedules: 36 (3x12's) / Days or Nights (depending on start date)

Setting:

  • Community hospital located on Cape Cod

    Position Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of recent RN PACU experience

  • EPIC and previous travel experience

  • Active MA RN license

  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA)

The post-anesthesiacare Unit (PACU) nurse cares for patients who have under gone anesthesia. The post-anesthesia care Unit (PACU) nurseis responsible for observing and treating a patient postoperation and making surethat they safely awake from anesthesia. The PACU nurse must monitor vital signs and levels of consciousness tomake sure that the sedation is wearing off properly, there are no adversereactions occurring and patients are regaining consciousness.

MinimumRequirements:

  • Current RN licensurein the state in which RN is working.

  • ACLS and PALScertification per contract requirements.

  • Current CPR ifapplicable

  • TB Questionnaire,PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

  • Current Healthcertificate (per contract or state regulation)

  • Must meet allfederal, state and local requirements

  • Must be at least 18years of age
