Description: A Project Engineer - Dev/Flight Test Support job in Huntsville, AL 35806 is currently available at Belcan. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Engineer to join our team, specializing in Development and Flight Test Support. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing manufacturing and engineering projects related to the development and testing of aerospace systems. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent project management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Job Duties:
Own and actively support all deliverables related to:
Test Support
TRRs
Go/No-Go reviews
Ad-hoc reviews requested by test team
Dev/qual engine shipment support
Config planning / hardware reuse
Disassembly/inspection planning + feedback to engineering team
Component summaries
Pre-ship reviews
Flight engine shipment support
Component summaries
Pre-ship reviews
Post-ship NC feedback (ULA only)
Work with MEs, REs, and QEs, to ensure need dates are carefully planned, tracked by the program, and met with required deliverables
Help REs prepare content for all gated reviews related to engine shipment, dev/qual config planning, pump teardowns/inspections, and post-test data reviews
Become the single-threaded leader in BE-4 turbo for the above deliverables
Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field
· Excellent communicator capable of managing up and down.
· Knowledge of rocket engine testing, quality management systems, and configuration management
· Demonstrated ability to manage and lead integrated teams of 10-20 engineers.
· Project engineering skills (schedule/resource management, work scope planning, establishing clear priorities, etc.)
· U.S. Person (Perm Res/Green Card)
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
· MS Excel and PowerPoint
· Knowledge of Quality Processes (NDI, Blue Light, X-Ray, CMM, ETC)
We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $83,200 to $114,400. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
